Liar Paradox

A paradox: This statement is not true.
But if not true then false it has to be
And yet, if false, then true it would be too
A paradox, this statement is not true.
But false or true, it cannot be the two --
With clarity, I think that all should see
The paradox, this statement is not true,
For if not true then false it cannot be.

Ok, I cheated just a little bit.

Yeek! This is as confusing as the topic in Philosophy! But it makes sense... or non-sense... argh... I'm confused! Either way, this is great!

Hey Not,
You've touched on one of my favorite subjects here (pair-o-doc's). If one walked to school, and the other brought his lunch, which one would get there first? Well , ok, that's a trick question, but this, aside from a little cheating, is a good read.

Oh thank you Sir for shining your light on me! I must tell the Doc I finally know what I am! A Paradox! No wonder your work made perfect sense to me! Wonderful job Mr. Not A Poet.

This is a wonderful piece! I had to share this with the 'none' poetic folks - IE the ones that won't read what I write! - in my humble home ;-) they appreciated it equally ;-)

Hi all and thanks for reading. These things really are a lot of fun even if hard to do well. For some reason every one I have written seems similar. They all deal with complex subjects in a rather light manner.

Yes Munda, this was inspired by the Philosophy question. Glad you noticed. BTW Lady, it's "Pete" please.

Thanks,
Pete
