I love your oozing sarcasm. The cynical shadows about your face. It's the way you sneer and say, "I hate this. I'm bored." You've thoroughly convinced yourself The world is your theatre, and You are the only one in the audience. We are all here to entertain you. Or maybe you have the leading role. I love the way you say sophisticatedly, "That's life" and dissmiss it with a flippant gesture of your aristocratic hand. The two of us, so different. You see me as a seemingly wide eyed innocent Staring at the world, always a step behind you. Meanwhile, you squint throught sacastic eyes, and see nothing. You and your masochistic smiles. Sardonic moods. Beautiful corrosive rotting pain. I love it all. See you thought you were the master of sarcasm. But don't you see, You were WRONG! |

i like the poem overall, just a few suggestions/questions... 1. it seems that the word "sophisticatedly" at the end of the line in the middle throws off the rhythm of the rest of the verses... perhaps using a shorter word like "elegantly"... 2. i dont understand what a "masochistic smile" would be... ^_^... 3. a clarification of intent: is the master of sarcasm implied to be the writer (you) or life itself? just wondering -- good work  **jerome the boy with no brain |
