June
It was a sunny day
I remember it like it was yesterday
The day was going great
Until something happened
Something that changed my life
She told me she was leaving
Leaving for the summer
To join the Army
She said she would be back
Back to do everything we loved to do
To do together, as one
But now were two
This summer changed her and I
She is gone and I can't help it
I want her back with me
Like it used to be.

This is a really sweet poem...it is really hard when people change and grow apart...but it's a part of life, sad as it is.....

Thanks a bunch. I have learned to deal with life, and take whatever comes at me.

Ahhh...a fear of mine, this is.  Wonderfully written, exellent work.
