Drink and Drive By Amber Livingston A important person died today , he was extremely clever , He refused to drink under a lot of peer presure , As the party ended , To the car he descended , As he pulled out of the street , He felt a rumble under his feet , He looked up and saw a car heading towards him, He thought of his life and his girlfriend kim , The car collided with him , he ly on the pavment thinking, "Why did this happen to me?, The paramedic says i dont have that much longer to live , i did everything i was supposed too , didnt drink , didnt do drugs, The other person is walking , I am not , My vision is getting blury , I see no stars , I feel my heart slowing down , my breath shorting , I am dieing." Every year alot of people die from drunk driving... The people who drunk survive alot... Sometimes things cant be explained ... But the saddness people feel when they die for staying healthy is unbelieveable ... So all who read this .. Let me make this clear... Dont Drink and drive... its something that can cause you your life ... Thanks you ... Amber Livingston |

Very good point. I have lost too many friends and family members to this and would never wish it on anyone. I have no pity for anyone who drinks and drives..... very nice poem. Some stanzas may have made it easier to read however. Yet again, a good poem and excelent topic. |

THANKS! Well .. I have been writing poems since like 3rd grade .. then i stopped ... But I thought of that topic and decide to write about it ... |

A person whos been drinking has absolutely no reason to be on the road. ------------------ Thinking is just what a great many people think they are doing when they are merely rearranging their predjudices. |

I like your poem. it's the truth. I've known a couple people. Okay, check out my poems. please. THey aren't very good though, in my opinion. |
