Memories Come in many forms In pictures and in text Some are bad, others good Some rise above the rest Memories are what make you rich Despite what some believe If I had a choice, I would choose Memories of you and me All the laughing All the crying Are what's always there If you have no fond memories You probably just dont care If memories are important to you Remember big and small Without good happy memories Life means nothing at all All life is, is memories All life is, is memories All life is, is memories |

I agree all we have are our memories as well as the moment. This, of course, does not give us licence to do anything that we please. Well told. Hmmm did I welcome you to Passions yet? If not Welcome!!  |

~Note- I am not attacking you, just disagreeing with a few things~ If you have no fond memories You probably just dont care Please explain how you made this assumption-I have so few fond memories....if a person has disliking or even hateful memories, it would show that person truly does care, they just care in a negative way. Without good happy memories Life means nothing at all Picture a starving African child. His parents died when he was very young. For as long as he can remember, he has lived outside the village, rooting for magots to eat. Is this child's life worth nothing? In addition, Let me explain that I am only disputing these things in good nature. I truly enjoy a piece with views that conflict my own. Welcome to Passions ------------------ Thinking is just what a great many people think they are doing when they are merely rearranging their predjudices. |

Memories are what I reflect on every day. Good memories can keep me going and so can bad, because memories are what my life has been so far. |

I really liked this poem, very well written. Although, to an extent, I do agree with S.D. If I didn't have the memories I have, I wouldn't be the person I am. The good memories put a smile on my face, and the bad ones make me grow stronger and to make better decisions because I can look back and remember the bad choices I may have made.
