This is about a friend of mine. I broke down and cried when he told me about his life. It inspired this poem.

He was so neglected and now its ruined his life.
The man beats the kids and probly the wife.
Seperation only caused him more pain.
He watched his dreams fall just like hard rain.
The blows that he took made him so unconscious.
He experienced the buzzing rooms; they made him so vicious.
The streets only soon claimed his home.
He imagined someday of the things he'd own.
The drugs he so craved overtook the books.
He skipped the classes for he was so overtook.
The stress filled his mind when reality struck.
He cried for so long over his horrible luck.
The questions were those of why a life like this?
He has never felt such a word as bliss.
The people he called parents are as screwed as well.
He was shunned by them the first minute he was born into this hell.

This poem is very heart-wrenching. the is a girl I know who went through the same thing....she was warped into a monster. Let me warn you kari, children from broken homes, as kind as they may seem, often have emotional issues, and ifhe has been mistreated and made to feel ashamed of himself, just be careful that he doesn't try to put you or others below him so he can feel like he is better than someone.....it happened to me...and because of it, I am just as warped as these unfortunate children from broken homes.
