White wings, Soft as Gossamer thread
Pure Silver halo about her head
Sun shines though her smile
Lets all pain ebb for awhile

In darkest times she comforts me
Her wings enfolding, no one can see
The hurt and bitterness locked in my heart
All the pain and loneliness there from the start

Her voice as clear as crystal bells
A poignant story of life it tells
Of destruction and loss from which I can't hide
This lonely life I am forced to ride

Her breath so sweet gives me new life
Helps me deal with the pain and strife
Eyes more focused, vision clear
The end of the path now totally clear

I see a rainbow on a cloudy day
Please dear angel with me stay
For there can be like you no another
That’s why in life I called you Mother

Watch...I cried reading your dedication to your mother. She has raised a good person by the love you display, a part of her shines in you! Lovely poem!

My prayers are with you and may your heart be comforted!

This was so touching. Sometimes I miss my mother so much and wish I could tell her as well as you have here, how much she meant to me.

Watcher,
I am a collector of angels in words and images. This is the best I have ever seen and what a beautiful dedication to your mother. Beautifully done!

There is no quicker way to understanding a person than to listen to him/her talk about loving parents, if they were fortunate enough to have them. And those of us who did have wonderful parents, like your mother, when we share memories we hold dear, it touches their hearts with what is special about living immersed in a treasured memory to be.

wd watcher and ty for sharing so well!

Well done oh lurker of the shadows!
I really liked how you used allusion here to mislead, then bring it together at the end!

Ohhhh :*) how sweet, I think you should print the poem out, and place it on her grave, she would have liked this poem. I'm sorry for your loss.
EXCELLENT job.

Moving in a tender way,
words so softly sweetly said;
A misty eyed tribute to an angel of yours,
A thanks for the hand that once led.
A word of comfort from a world apart -
One cannot lose what is kept in the heart.

She walks in silence and waits in shadow. She is my lady and my angel.

Watcher this was very beautiful.

To quote a movie "The Crow".....
"Mother is the name for god on the lips and hearts of all children."

All I can say is WOW.....WOW.....WOW

Oh Watcher, this is perfect. I lost my mother to cancer in May and have been in too much pain to write about it. I will read this again and again. No torture for me in your words!
