I know this well, I've been here before.
Walking with you along this shore
As the waves crashed upon the sand
I ran to you to catch your hand

The footprints that we left behind
Now washed away, can't be defined
Like memories not often thought
I'm left alone and feeling naught

I'm watching now the sun go down
With it, in my tears I drown
Wishing you were here with me
That once again we were carefree

I know this well, I've been here before
I remember when we walked the shore
Now your gone, I'm sitting alone
Listening to the ocean drone

This is beautiful....but the end has me ready to cry again...I just saw the Sixth Sense, and the end of your poem, like the end of the movie, is heartbreaking.

WhtDove,
Just fly above the memory shore
And it will stay forever more.
Beautiful poem.

Munda with much thanks to you!

JenifferM glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for reading and replying! Though I hope the "mood" will pass soon for you!

Pepper thanks so much!

Thanks Seymour! The memory shore, good one Sey! Though it kind of fits me (this poem) but came out of that thing that we call our imagination. hehe

White Dove ... very pretty indeed.
Senic and touching.
The footprints washed from the shore,
live in your heart forevermore.

Beautiful WhtDove, why do we torture ourselves though? Wish someone could answer that one for me? (HUGS)
