As that feeling hits your nerves, then goes straight to your heart,
Except it at face value, but never forget what you have part.

When your eyes light up, at the sight of such wonders,
Think of what it took to get there, through all the mistakes and blunders.

When you hold your child so close, as if for the first time,
You remember all the years of work to help them be their prime.

And when you think of the loved ones no longer here with you,
Hold dear all the memories shared, not just in joy, but in sorrow too.

In life, mind, and spirit, a balance of both ends, it does feel,
Is needed, not for sake of peace or prosperity, but to simply hold together all that seems real.

To have one, is to bring on the other, as the tide shifts between loss and gain.
A fact of Nature not rivaled is the law of Pleasure and Pain.
