Firsts

When our eyes first met,
I was filled with love.

When you first smiled at me,
Such joy filled my soul.

When you first held my hand,
Tears came to my eyes.

When you first hugged me,
My heart melted.

And when you kissed me goodbye,
I cried inside.

Who knew the first day of kindergarten
Would be so hard

(This was written for a friend who experienced the trama of her baby's first day of school

)

Ruth this is not what I expected. A little twist at the end there. I did the same thing when my littlest one went into kindergarten. I called my mom and just cried. She's in second grade now! And I enjoy the peace and quiet. hehe
