I've not had much time to write lately...but I do slip in and read as much as possible. This is my thanks to all of you who make it so comforting to be here.

Word Weavers

Dip your pen into my heart
Scribe your impassioned words
For in the lines you write I see
my soul displayed as art

Your poetry is every season turning
Days and nights, the sun, the moon
It is the smile of every child
It's the sigh of a lover's yearning

You light up my dreams with stardust
through verses drawn with grace
You take me on magic carpet rides
You laugh and cry and trust

I wear each letter strung like pearls
jewels of immeasurable worth
Keepsakes for a lifetime
precious as a baby's curls

Weaver of words with your quill
you paint without a brush
Every line creates a sight
That lingers with me still

From the lips of a bard, across my heart, and into my soul. Thank you for your introspect and praise, dear lady. But what is a poet less a dreamer of words, and into that dream we drift...

caroline, we have missed you on here. What a welcome back poem to post though. This was very well told, I enjoyed it a lot. Love the line Balladeer pointed out and also:

Caroline, you should include yourself in your verse as you do the same for us all.

This was lovely. Very nice use of words...to describe an emotion felt......You're just a "Word Weaver!"

What can I say except brilliant, the words flow so well as if strung together one by one as if it were a peal necklace.
