(I've borrowed some thoughts from some of my other poems for this one so it may sound a bit fimilar. I just thought it would make a good Pantoum)

On Broken Wings

She flies on broken wings
In clear pearlescent skies
With voice once mute she sings
Softly as she flies

In clear pearlescent skies
He feathers catch the sun
Softly as she flies
Released, her battles won

Her feathers catch the sun
Once caged, she’s been set free
Released, her battles won
His love it was the key

Once caged she’s been set free
Wings clipped, now given flight
His love it was the key
She’s drawn into his light

Wings clipped, now given flight
Their love can not be wrong
She’s drawn into his light
Her heart is filled with song

Their love can not be wrong
With voice once mute she sings
Her heart is filled with song
She flies on broken wings

To Tyson,
Thanks for giving me my voice again, being my song, and showing me how to fly. I love you darling.
Ruth

Even though it's familiar, Hoot, it's still beautiful. And you're right, it does make a good pantoum. "She's drawn into his light, Her heart is given song" is a great way to describe what he's done to you. Best of luck to you both.

This was beautiful. You expressed so well how someone's love can heal the hurts.
I know that well! Good Luck my friend.

Sighs and smiles! This was lovely, Ruth; I have to say that my favorite line was:

"Her feathers catch the sun"

I could see you soaring! Well done!

Lady Hoot: The cake is only as good as the ingredients and the cook… a finer pastry could not be made. Thanks for the treat.

I see good skills here, I see were you are coming from. However, I can't help but connect it with the song line, " Black bird singing in the dead of night. Take these broken wings and learn to fly." Nether the less I still find it good reading and it leaves be thinking abot it... I like that.
