Just close your eyes and step aboard
Nobody is ever turned away,
The ship sails daily from each port,
The ride is free, you do not pay.

You need no clothes you need no gold,
For rich or poor, it's all the same,
It's for the young, it's for the old,
The dreamer steamer has your name.

It rides the dreamwaves of your mind
And takes you where you want to be,
The destination you will find,
The ocean of your fantasy.

It takes you there no time at all,
The blink of eye perhaps, no more,
And stops in every Port of Call,
For treasures that you may adore.

You may see castles, fields of green,
And friends that you once knew,
Perhaps the lover of your dreams,
For each a different view.

Your ride will end when you awake
And open up your eyes again,
For some who dared this ride to take,
Nothing would ever be the same.

Don't miss this ship, the "Dreamer Steamer"
You close your eyes you go to sea,
This voyage is for every dreamer
To the ocean of your fantasy!

Wolfgang this is wonderful! I'd like to book a year long cruise if I may! The ocean of my fantasy is an incredible line...I've always been a dreamer, now I have a vehicle! Thanks for a great poem!

Great poem, Wolf. Doesn't help me though. My life is a little dinghy.

Great poem Wolfgang! This is one of those poems that creates a world of ideas long after the read. I've taken some rides upon your ship, but I'm occasionally stranded on Giligans island....
