..Just a short one before I hit the road for North Carolina. This poem was the title of a book I wrote and also explains my philosophy of poetry. The book still sits in my desk drawer......

"The barefoot butterfly?" What does this mean
I asked in tone quite terse.
"The strangest words I've ever seen
In a book of verse!"

"Where is the strength behind these words?
Where does meaning lie?"
"It is the language of today",
Came the sad reply.

"But surely man must realize
That beauty cannot lie
In something one can't understand!"
"They don't", came the reply.

And so, until my final breath
With pen in hand I'll try
To bring about the needed death
Of the barefoot butterfly.......

You never cease to amaze, and this book in your desk drawer, I am sure it's a reader. You need to find an agent, you are much to talented to let pages of a potential best seller go un-noticed. I'll be there to buy the first copy.

Just finished going way back through all of the postings and reading everything you've done. *big eyes* at the consecutive skill and quality. Just... wow. Where can I find more?

You would have to look inside my mind, Jessica. Thank you very much for the kind words.

Sir Balladeer,
If one were to venture
into your mind
I do beleive
it would be difficult
to return back to reality.
For your words
would graciously kidnap
any and all that entered
your domain of creativity.
