I woke up this morning, My dog was on my bed, My man was somewhere else, Just chasin' somethin' else instead. My pooch was sympathetic, He's always by my side, He's faithful and devoted, A companion, friend and guide, Hey girls....don't treat your man like a hound! If you need protection, If danger's lurking near, Your mutt would give his life for you, You'd never have to fear. But if your man is hangin' 'round, Your future may be grim, Statistics show you 'probly need, Protection from him.... Hey girls...don't treat your man like a hound! If you treat your fella, Like he was royalty, He'll just take you for granted ya know. Most males of our species, Don't exhibit loyalty, they just "Tom-Cat" whereever they go. It's hard to find a human male, That's as charming as a pup, I know some who can speak and fetch, Rollover and situp. Though they can do some tricks for you With charm and dignity, And though some have great intellect, They lack nobility, Hey girls....don't treat your man like a hound! Well you can pamper your puppy, He'll love ya just the same, he'll never ever make ya pay. But if you spoil your man, He'll be chasin after every, Bitch that wags her tail his way.... So feed your pooch Purina, and take him to the vet, Brush him when he's tangled, and dry him when he's wet. But if you want a sweetie, Who will never "dog" you around, Forget about the single's bars, You ought to try the pound,... Hey girls...don't treat your man like a hound! |

Animals are the only people you can trust, but that is probably because if you can't speak, you can't lie. Even the dog would wander off if it wasn't kept on a leash. |

My pups the one I call to Whenever I chance to feel blue He's always at my side My wishes he abides But if a man were to come around He better beware, I love this hound! He should know he'll be second best And learn to wait,just like the rest. Loved the poem!  ------------------ Set you heart free and your mind will follow. |
