As child doth fly upon departing wings,
From canopy of matriarchal tree,
We know not what, for sure the future brings,
For in this life, we have not guarantee.

As he doth leave behind his adolescence,
In maiden flight, into the world doth wend,
Dove takes within, parents' love quintessence,
Foundation laid, child's future doth portend.

Into the winds of hate and discontentment,
Uncertain flight, as dove doth seek his way,
From lesson's learned, uses his discernment,
To son, soon man, unto you we now pray.

Our wish for thee, to soar majestic height,
To feel not pain, to fly in heaven's light.

Smiles.....I can see it is going to be as hard for you as it will be for them. Good luck!

It's just about time right? Kids off to college/school....It's hard to let go as we want to protect them as long as we can. I've been here, my friend.
