MEMORIES OF THE LAD© 1990 Genea Parker Though they have parted, the lass thinks of her lad. Memories of times, both happy and so sad. The soft look in his eyes, as they walked hand in hand. The icy glare they shared as he fled from her land. The oh so gentle words he softly spoke in her ear, The harsh ones they traded and regret through the years. The gentle caressing touch as he stroked her fair hair, The slap to her heart, when he said he didn’t care. Despite the sadness, bad memories and such, The lass remembers her lad, and still cares for him so much. ======================== ------------------ Thanks for taking the time to read.
