Black and Crunchy

I watch you sleeping
as your lovers body
entwined about you,
like my web
to a feast of my palate.
I've attempted to crawl
through those satin sheets
trying to grip on ...
Only sliding to the ground.

I'm perched above you now
like Tarzan in the jungle
ready to spin me toward you
with passion of exploration.
I release my silk...
Slowly lowering to your body.

My hairy black and crunchy body
has descended upon you now
exploring you inch by inch.
I've discovered a hollow cave
that a ferocious creature
must occupy...
With it's mighty roar
it's a wonder how you sleep.

Curiosity has it's chains on me
so exploring I will go,
one foot at a time...
Times eight and I'll be in.
It feels weird in here
kind of damp, yet arid.
The sound echo's off the walls
making me shake with fear.

What's happening?
The walls are closing in...
I'm floating away
through some narrow channel
Plop...
Into some gurgling fluid I fall.
I'm sinking to my demise
farewell, and sweet dreams
all my sleeping friends.

(I recently read that in our lifetime
we eat about 8 spiders in our sleep)

The body does need protine and I suspect there are less spiders in the world because someone asleep swallowed. Tonight I'll sleep with a mask over my face. Delightful!

I would like to thank all of you for your responses. I have to say I had a blast writing this.
Thanks Andrew Scott, for inspiring me (little did you know that you would)How a simple comment can jump-start a stalled mind.
Rita and elvira, sorry to elude you. It just flowed well this way for me.
Sir Balladeer, I don't think you have to worry for I don't know how you have time to sleep, while creating all the masterpieces here, that enlighten us all.
Ohme, I would say that a mask is probably the only sure bet, yet maybe we've already had our quota, so no need to worry right?
