Forever knows not what tomorrow will bring, I’m stranded in my cave of thoughts for you, All I can do is sit and sing, Lonely love songs that speak so true.... The object of my desires has no knowledge of my dreams, I’m sure she has her own dreams which are not dreamed of me, My hopes which lay within her are hopeless so it seems, A mutual friendship may be all there’ll ever be, I wish that I could tell her but I don’t think she’d understand, I fear rejection of my feelings, though I wish for just one chance, I long to be within her arms or to at least just kiss her hand, A moonlit walk along the beach or just one long slow dance, I guess she’ll never know how much I dreamed of her, Her who’s beauty shines brighter than stars at night, But I’ll never stop wishing that we were together, In these dreams of hopeless hopes which make me write. - Enrique |
