LongJohn was in a shipwreck
with his dog and one of ‘Deer’s ewes
It was supposed to be a three hour tour,
but it was the topic of the 6 o’clock news.

For weeks they were stranded on this isle
they didn’t see a ship or rescue jet.
So they made a nightly ritual
of sitting and watching the sunset.

One night the sunset was magnificent
the kind you see in a photograph book.
When Long John started feeling romantic
and gave the ewe his most masculine look

He started to cuddle and whisper
sweet nothings in her ear.
But the dog started growlin, was jealous
was having none of this business, you hear?

Well the weeks went on until one day
up the shore a young beauty did wash.
Seems she also had been in a shipwreck
Long John’s prayers had been answered by gosh.

Later that week they shared their ritual
of watching the sunset at night.
Long John started to get that same feeling
and eyed the beauty that basked in his sight.

Quietly he leaned over and whispered
so no one could hear as they talk.
Say sweetie could you do me a favor
take that damn dog for a walk.

But that's not the final chapter,
That's not how it ends,
Cuz after this another ship wrecked,
With a guy named Gilligan.

Now Gilligan was lonesome,
and too was innocent,
LongJohn became aware of this,
and offered to share his tent.

They fell in love as time went bye,
Cuz LongJohn's just "that kind of guy"
They lived happily ever after,
Formed a threesome on their isle of Pleasure.

They named their sheep Miss Friday,
They loved their little world,
The dog just disappeared that day,
He'd found the perfect girl!

Lady Lucie: Rolling on the floor doing the laughing thing too! What a way to blast those masts and fill em full of holes. A most righteous broadside to scour the decks clean.

Ok, back it goes to the top. Long John's thinking hard I bet. Maybe he retired from war, or maybe he was thrown overboard!!
