Call me crazy call me sane - But I want him Just the same. That is why I didn't meet him - For I simply do respect him. Our "love" is just so fresh & new... I didn't want to lose it too. I want to take this nice & slow - give our fondness time to grow... If I had him way too soon - under tender Memphis moon... Would we wake here in the morn with a friendship tattered, torn ? I respect myself as well - and believe me it was Hell... knowing he was passing through - what's a lonely girl to do ? Do I love him for one night ? Or do I wait - this feel's so right... So I took a chance on fate - Told him maybe we should wait... Now I sit here all alone - and he's journeyed on toward's home. I have faith that he'll be mine... True love stands the test of time. I still want him just the same...
