I love rainy days, watching the drops gather slowly into a flood,
Like my tears when we're apart.

Droplets of love that spill from my lips to your ears,
Like the blood drips from my broken heart.

As each droplet of blood adds to my veins, as each
Raindrop adds to the storm,
I only dream my words will fill you with Love
And cause my cold heart to warm.

Droplets of love and droplets of Time, mark each breath, second,
And hour until you are mine.
Unlike many, I would not presume to own you
Nor pressure you to accept or decline.

But like droplets of perfume
Sweetening the air,
Your presence in my heart,
Lessens despair

I love rainy days,
For they make me
Think of you.

"Droplets of time" somehow seems to be so opulent. Well done, Sir.

I love rainy days also.....sometimes it seems as though the rain washes away all the impurities from our lives if even just for that moment

Powerful, Beautiful, Perfect...wow, Dream. I must say, this could very well be one of the best things I've ever read..

I am bumping this back up to the top for anyone else who may have missed it like me the first time around. Great job!

Dream, this is so beautiful! I can't believe I've missed it up until now! I'm in love this poem! Would you mind if I printed it and hung it on my wall?
