I don't feel the need to put a lot of effort in to this answer to the question, "What is the purpose or your poetry?" That answer is always deep inside my heart.

I write soley for my own expression and enjoyment. I write to find value within myself. I write so that I may find beauty in sadness or anger, or even in love that I do not see. I write the thoughts that flow from my brain. And sometimes I share them so that I may share my feelings. I write to give meaning to my existence. Someday, when I am gone, I hope that my children find my poetry and discover the person that I am besides being their mother. I write to bring emotion to others. I long to reach out and touch the hearts and souls of all that read my words. Whether or not I use spelling, grammar, or punctuation correctly never really crosses my mind unless my work is being submitted for publishing. Therefore, I always check these things before I post here at Passions. But in my own little journal, I don't even think about it.

These early morning ramblings sometimes get the best of me. This is my answer to your question, DreamEvil. It may not be as in depth as you would have hoped for it to be, but it is my answer, nonetheless. I write for ME.

Lady love, you gave me the best answer I have yet heard. Thank you.

As I've heard myself so many times... Simple truth! Thanks you two!
