Whispers from the Spirit......

This morning I was shopping at Wal-mart.  Ever since Kathie
was a baby eight years ago, it has been the store of choice
for inexpensive diapers.

Emma and I were strolling down an aisle, and I overheard a
Mom talking to her preschooler.  "llama.....?"  she repeated
for her little boy....."llama....?"

From a simple Mom-Son exchange I had an amazing thought.

In Spanish, people do not ask "What is your name?" in conversation,
instead the question that is asked is, "What are you called?"

What ARE you called?  But what about your spirit
whispering to you......calling out to you.
How do you respond to your spirits whispered callings?

A calling can be defined in a number of different ways.  Some
folks say a calling is a religious experience.  Others believe a
calling is what shapes a life purpose.  Still another would
say a calling is someone's chosen profession.

What do you think a calling is?  What calls out to you?  What
can people count on you for, when all the bets are off, what
calls YOU!  Not your NAME, but what calls YOU at the soul
level?

Lately I have been so intune spiritually that I am moved
to tears sometimes more than once a day.  Sometimes it
feels like it is a constant thing.  God calls to me, tells me
what to do.  Where to go. What to listen to.  How to
discipline my babies.

When I am listening to my calls I can hit higher notes.  I can
run faster and longer.  I laugh even louder than normal.
I act more authentically like the person God wove together in
my mother's womb.

What are you called?  What is your Spirit whispering when
it calls you?

"Llama?  Llama?"

Good piece, thought provoking too... Hmmm.. I'm only 16, and I haven't found anything that truly calls to me... Yet...  Thanks for getting me to think
