The first, always the hardest to forget and the hardest to forgive. Left to wonder what went wrong, left to suffer in silent expressions, attempting to understand all that transpired. A connection was created and severed, but the remnants of the first always reappear in the darkest moments as reminders of past insecurities and mistakes.

The second, a reaction to what had transpired before. Brought to fruition out of senseless desire and emotional immaturity, patience endured trepidation and apathy despite a misrepresentation of the connection. Used then cast aside, you reside in the recesses of regret, a decision borne from sorrow and a lack of clarity.

The third, a rebirth of true emotions that shattered all previous misconceptions. Chained down in new emotion, words were left unspoken and thoughts allowed to settle uncomfortably at the tip of the tongue. Regret learned its purpose and loss gained its meaning when these words decayed undered the weight of circumstance and hesitance. The first great loss endured.

The fourths, inklings that never grew into substantial desires. Wandering aimlessly, having lost sight of priorities, new shadows appeared, casting a haze that eradicated vision. Indefinite and indeterminable, the haze soon dissipated, and in its wake a sense of futility remained.

The fifth, an unreconcilable interaction conceived from effort and manipulation. Lies forged the way, and once on the path, deceit became reality, leaving the mind to decipher truth from emotion. Hope allowed for its conception, and ultimately, led to its dissolution. Words became meaningless and have remained that way.

The sixths, a comforting presence and a recurrence of the past. Conflicting characters brought forth from new circumstances. Mistakes repeated, eyes closed. Mistakes forgotten, eyes wide open. Mistakes allowed to shape an identity, causing the cycle to repeat itself as regret grows once more.

Despite the presence of hope. Regret only grows.
