At my wedding several years ago the vicar read a lovely poem. I am currently trying to find out more about it but have only the poor sound from the video to glean any information.
This is what i have - Author sounds like E.J.Spigella.
? title The T---
"Put your hand on my heart"
"------------------------"
"I will hold you trunk, shoot, ----"
"I will hold you root -----"
I have searched the internet with out succes and would be very grateful if this rings any bells.

A reply to my own posting. Problem solved thanks to a kindly librarian.

- E.J.Scovell, A Betrothel

Put your hand on my heart; tell me you love me as
The woods upon the hills cleave to the hills' contours.

I will uphold you, trunk and shoot and flowering sheaf,
And I will hold you, roots and fruit and fallen leaf.
