Your explainations of structured poetry are so fabulously easy to understand. I would like to see a simple explaination of other forms as well.

The real reason I write free verse is my lack of poetic education... pardon me now while I go to work on a Pantomime.... or whatever that one is called...

Hehe.... The true challenge for me is to write a poem in a structured format, and have it seem that it didn't really take me a day or more to write it......

I want to write a pantaloon
and maybe a paradiddle
with meter and rhyme and maybe
I’ll end it with a riddle

A villain thrown in for some spice
and maybe a siesta or three
and if it’s good, I’ll send it on
to Passion’s in Poetry!

Though far from expert with all the formats, I would be willing to help you with those I do know. Surprised?

I hope not.
