This poem is about a friend of mine who has been struggling with depression over the past few years.I get worried about her, so this is what I say to her, and to all who feel down.

Many a hill we must climb,
I hope that you don't fall.
And in this sad and desperate time,
I hope that you would call.
Don't let life's misfortunes get you down,
Instead stand up and say,
That this isn't gonna slow me down.
I'll live far past this day.
When life's bad times come to you,
Just think of the good times to be had.
Don't even think of feeling blue,
Realize things aren't so bad.
I know its hard, and life can seem hopeless,
Like pain without an end.
But things will be better, that I promise,
Forever as your best friend.

Tis true these days we certainly need more uplifting poems etc, although it is difficult in the times we live in, hey I've been depressed like my friend too, and thats another reason I wrote that, because I really do know what it feels like, and I realized I don't have it so bad after all.

This is beautiful heather. As you said when you really take a good look at things around you, you realise that you do not have it that bad.

I wish more people could see that they don't have it so bad, like my friend, but I think there is hope.
