They say love is just a feeling- I hardly think that’s true. For that could not do justice- The way I feel toward you. Just a mere emotion- That like a fleeting breath… Is here, then gone forever Just a harbinger of death. You are like my heartbeat- Intrinsic part of life It never could do justice- To merely call you “wife”. Like a day without a sunrise- A night bereft of stars- A park that has no children- A freeway without cars. It is more than being lonely- Far worse than merely fear- No worse fate to imagine- Than you not being here. |
