A Pack of Lies |

Sometimes I tend to glamorize- The life which I once knew. The grass appears a bit more green, The skies a deeper blue. Emotions somewhat deeper than- They seemed in distant time, And momentary passions- It seems were more sublime. The strength of youth that I recall- Was maybe not that strong… Perhaps my few attainments, Weren’t immortalized in song. The tawdry truth of escapades I finally realize- Were products of a dreamer’s mind- And just a pack of lies. |

Escapades being the keyword to me. So meaningless in hindsight! The here and now is a peaceful place to be. |
