I’ve heard that everything worth saying,
Has long ago been said.
But why do longings, yet un-uttered,
Clutter up my head?

Why do dreams with no fulfillment-
Tantalize my heart?
And dreams of things un-comprehended-
Still cause the tears to start?

Perhaps these questions have no answers-
I contemplate with dread…
That every, single thing worth saying-
Has long ago been said.

thing to remember, it hasn't been said by you,
in your own inimitable style.  It's not so much what is said as how it is said.

I love you - is not necessarily,
I   love   you.

Or thereabouts.

It's when we feel there should be more to say, but feel powerless to make the attempt that we really have to worry.  Never put that pen down.
