 The color of my mood is gray Just like the clouds that paint the day These tears of mine meet oceans blue As I am filled with thoughts of you I still envision your sweet face Our memories I can't erase Into the wind I bare my soul This deep sadness I can't control Hurt seeps from my every pore Finding happiness is a chore Just before pain starts to depart It crushes hope and steals my heart The color of my mood is gray Just like the clouds that paint the day Wildflowers dance along the shore But as for me I'll dance no more © Poet In Pink 2017 |
