Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Love gets down and dirty
into the nitty-gritty of things.
It rolls up its sleeves
and does what needs doing.
Love makes commitments
without losing sleep.
It leans hard into the future
with its actions of today.
Love rallies round reality
ignoring superficial circumstance
It sees beyond outcomes
to the heart of the intentions.
It tolerates tempers
and all sorts of stupid.
Love hold its tongue
and anger at bay.
It takes a gander at the grotesque
without batting an eye..
Love stimulates healing and growth
even in hard core cases.
It can fill you until
you feel light as a feather.
Love gets down and dirty
there is nothing better.

Yes, my friend, Lori, love is all of those things.

You got it down right, Lori. Reminds me of this:
"how do I love thee? Let me count the ways..."
you centainly counted them and more. Love is patient, love is kind, love bears and waits for all things...

Real love is like that. You've got spunk and style Lori, not to mention a whole lot of class.

After reading, I said "hey! I could have written that"! I'm in touch with myself too as you are clearly are with yourself.

Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here...please!

Lori,
Love these lines, one at a time and as a verse.
Great with my first cup of coffee this morning.

Wow, I missed this huh - more likely I just plumb forgot I saw it before I could respond.
My excuse? - well, I was so deeply involved in this thing called "Love", I just totally forgot to take care of other things - - - heh, heh.

Loved (no pun) it my friend.
