If You Don’t Change Your Ways

If you don’t change your ways
you’re going straight to hell
or jail.
You are going to get AIDS
or the Herpes.
If you don’t change your ways
you’re going to get Cancer
or Diabetes.
You are going to have a heart attack
or a stroke.
If you don’t change your ways
you’re going to get fat
and ugly.
You are going to die all alone
and poor.
If you do change your ways
you’re going to get hit by a bus
or lightening.
You are going to drown in your soup
or champagne.
So let this be a word to the wise
about changing your ways
for whatever reasons why.
No matter how well intended
our reasons for change,
in the end we still die.
So in your changes and rearranges
remember to be happy
as you attempt to make
your life last longer.
It should make your smile stronger.
And don’t worry about
the destination to your journey,
we never know when we’ll get there
anyway.
Every day is a new roll of the dice,
so remember to always play nice.
