Losing Suzette

Melinda knew how to play a piano
better than any woman I had ever met,
I loved listening to her play for hours
that is until I met  Suzette,
I found myself saying "Suzy I love you"
every time she played her violin,
she was the sweetest thing
a man could want for a friend;
until one day we became more than friends,
that remains a day I will always regret
it was the day my suffering began,
that was the day I lost Suzette.

"Melinda was mine
'til the time that I found her
holding Jim, loving him
then Sue came along,
loved me strong
that's what I thought,
Me and Sue,
but that died too."

Solitary Man...Neil Diamond
