I have lain with the best
In the country and in town
From the east to the west
Think of none with a frown

Tender sighs and soft lips
Rosy cheeks; brown-eyed soul
From their mouths I did sip
Sweet memories I stole

Some made me laugh and joke
There were those who were grim
Some drank wine, some sniffed coke
Some were portly, most were slim

The years have come and gone
Some fade from memory
Some I recall so strong
A girl from Flushing, she

I was no Romeo
Though I started some fires
Julio Iglesias, oh no
I just fanned their desire

Maybe some think of me
Some with tears, some with smiles
Flushing girl had the key
I fell in love, beguiled.

Must have been a New Yorker that stirred your senses some Jerry. I'm assuming "Flushing", New York that is.

A grand remembrance of good women. Where are they now? Would any expect to find you here?

Loving Linny Jean is poetry.

Yes, Flushing is definitely part of the New York City complex, Ari, and she unfortunately has passed away. I have a feeling she wouldn't be at all surprised to find me here. The rest of them? I doubt it.

Huh, they must have been so many...(in your day, I started to write), but has any one stayed on?....their loss I would say..

One of those poems that I wish I had written. I really liked this a lot JerryPat. As some say, "you can't make this stuff up". Superb!

Some stayed for a while, jjote, but I was the one that ultimately left always looking for something I could never find. Thank you.
