Trust your doctor, my friend
For your heart, liver and kidneys,
But for your soul, run away soon
Walk under better skies.

Trust your vegetable patch
For your tomatoes, cabbage and oranges
But for your soul, run away, Tuesday or Sunday,
He doesn’t understand what he’s talking about.

Trust the subtle sun
With proud mimosas and pale wisteria
For your soul Trust pretty girls
They’ll tell you  how to hope and talk.

Instinct and discernment have taught me well just how far to trust any humans, and the prettier ones all the less for the lavishing of affections their looks draw for them that leave them incapable of knowing and/or returning genuine affection for what it is.  Doctors aren't here to cure you, they only like to treat the symptoms that keep you coming back and lining their pockets.

Sun and a vegetable patch I would call a blessing, but so would I a good rain.

The soul?  It tells you what is real, when a person bothers to listen to it.  It shouldn't cause running, it should be something listened to the most.

Loved this thought provoking piece.

Interesting take on trust, yann. Trust is not easy to achieve these days.

Wonderful...I found myself smiling brightly...it made me think of lessons I've learned in life...Trust in any form is hard for me but I like how you put things...my soul I will not trust to the hands if mankind but will trust in Him who is better than us all...thank you, I enjoyed this poem
