Hello.
I'm...
You haven't told me yet.
Does the name really matter
when
I'm more than one word,
an ordered arrangement of letters
crammed together on my tongue
to form a sound?
The best language happens
at the end of the tether
that is your voice.
It binds deeper than ropes
or chain
or silky ties that have hugged your neck all day,
and it leaves better imprints anyway.
I could surrender my exhausting identity to you
for hours
letting all the melting facades
drip and collect in silent puddles.
Ignoring this
is an abuse of your power.

"Maybe that's the way I should go
Straight into the mouth of the unknown"

Wow.  The loneliness, the sadness, the love (unrequited to an extent) that comes through this is just awesome.

And the shyness that withholds one's eagerness.

My, My . . . one of your very best, my friend.

Paul,
Thank you. Such things are rare and often find me at inconvenient times.

Lori,

Thank you.  You have awesome comments. They make me smile. Also they make my brain strut. I'm glad you enjoyed.

You. . . are an entire book.

One that needs to be read. . . over and over again. . .

It's good to read your words again. . .

Love the first 3 lines.  If anyone was going into this half-hearted that snapped them to attention real quick I bet.  One can’t help contemplate the possible names that might serve.  Need comes to mind but that would only be the tip of the iceberg.  This goes much much deeper.  The subtle, yet almost demanding, last sentence reveals the truth of the situation.  The power is yielded, only because it is yours to yield.

Sven,

Someone would have to get more than halfway through first. Thank you. It is good to be read by you again.

Michael,

Thank you. I always hope there is enough in the beginning to make someone curious about the end. I've had and been called lots of names. Which ones would do usually changes from mood to mood. Mine or theirs. Doesn't matter. I do like to "gently remind" someone when they are wasting something.
