Fair to middlin' of nowhere

The moon must have been
in just the right place
and all the other planets aligned.
Barometric pressure was
on the rise or falling.
And God must have
sent out for a miracle...
I cleaned house.
Starting at about 4:00 a.m.
with dishes and laundry,
I dusted, swept, mopped,
folded, hung up and put away.
It kept me busy all day.
Of course there was a nap to be had.
And my aching back took breaks.
But I got it done without stressing.
Not a single panic attack.
Oh I could put in another full day
and clean deeper still.
There’s spots on the rug to conquer
and plenty of webs to whisk away.
The microwave needs wiped out,
the tablecloth folded  and put away.
And maybe I will get to those things today.
I’m just grateful I felt like getting up
and moving around yesterday.
I’ve a pile of Christmas decoration
in a corner waiting for a new home.
And some stuff for the Good Will
I need to get bagged and in my car.
I guess when I realize
the list is endless
is when my head starts to spin
and the panic sets in.
So for the moment,
before my wheels start to spin,
I’m content with yesterday’s achievements.
I came across my awesome
I’d misplaced beneath the clutter.
I think that I’ll just think on that
while I enjoy my coffee this morning,
sitting here petting the cat.

"I think that I’ll just think on that"

That's the key, give your mind a chance to assemulate what has been done and what needs to be done over a good cup of coffee. It'll all come together.

In a phrase..."Spring Cleaning?" I've done that. I open the front door and the rear door and let the wind do half of it for me.
