Innocence stands alone in a room
waiting for salvation to come
She gauges her eyes to shut out the light
and sighs as reality numbs...

Distant voices are singing her name
as temptation begs her to follow
Though the lump of contempt that sticks in her throat
is increasingly harder to swallow
