Touchstones.

I sense your discomfort
But you are too precious not to know
Take my hands to your cheeks
There, soft like butterfly wings
~
Hush now, no words
I knew you were beautiful
I see you
Through fingertips
~
Can we find love?
Not her poor sister sympathy
That taste lies sour
Upon my tongue
~
For I am complete
Knowing nothing of sight
It is not a darkened world
What is dark?
~
I feel your smile
Will you guide me?
Will you take my hand?
Forever

Astounding poetry, Cari, truly excellent poem. You, in very simple words, (I understood each one) you lent your soul to one who needed it and you needed to give it to him. I loved this.

My father was blind,  your poem is quite moving and touches deeply.

Thanks for your words.
