The experience is more than enriching,
By introducing some wolves into the nature
We can change the life of a whole region,
Wolves take away the big herbivores,
They eat some deers, some mooses,
These change places to feed,
Gorges and valleys get refreshed and new,
In a few years of trees reappear,
Their size increases until five times,
Birds return, beavers use trees,
Stop,
A disappeared fauna re-appears,
I quote otters coypus, amphibians,
Weasels, foxes, badgers, then ravens and eagles appear again
To feed on small mammals,
The aridity of grounds disappear, there is less erosion,
And finally it is the rivers which change their course ..
It is the fascinating adventure,
It is the fascinating adventure arrived at the Yellowstone in 70 years,
Who said that the man was cunning?

PS, i gave trouble with internet since 4 days,
i do what i can to comment and post,

Thanks you Yann for pointing out the far reaching effect of just 1 animal in the ecosystem. From your one example it is not too hard to imagine how hard we must impact the earth.

'who said that man was cunning?'  Well he may have killed off the wolves, but he had the cunning to re-introduce them. Puck may put an ass's head on Bottom, but Bottom can take it off.

Gaia (nature) always has a most interesting habit of ultimately reminding us who is really 'in charge! ...

Mother Nature knows what she's doing. We will all be better off when we realize this fact.
