Yesterday's rain wraps round the porch providing the respite for both tree and loose petal I watched how you swept them in the deluge of pink frost wild from the sky, from the anchor of tree branch they'll keep coming, you said and they did, 5 minutes after you swept them, they'd cover the lawns of suburbia so now, you are one with them as the light towards the afterlife embalms your warm spirit and in the stroke of the broom in its mechanical drudgery I know now I sweep with both meaning and memory |

This is nothing short of being magical, Emma. Such a vibrant and delightful poem of understand the ways of life and death. I was deeply touched by it. ~*~ Sex on television can't hurt you unless you fall off. ~*~ |

Wonderful images created for me. Each reader takes personal images from a poem. I'm engrossed in images of cherry blosson, lost to the wind. Pink frost is an indelible image. Beautifully expressed. |
