with open arms
nonsense slams the door
to the place
I’ve been searching for
and always dreaded I would find

my candle
timidly lights up the room
enabling me
to visualize even
worse circumstances
had the door stayed open

its almost akin to the
passing away
of reality
do you think it possible
I can
have faith in
or
trust myself

interesting introspective questioning ...

some of us have unfortunately burned that 'candle' a both ends for too many
years ... such that it is increasingly hard to stay 'out of the darkness' ...

I lived in the dark for far too many years. I am no longer there, but it took some doing, Bruce.

You are so used to being alone you always forget you have someone who loves you. You are never alone.

No, I never forget Lori. It's just that sometimes the poet in me has to bring the fact that I live alone. I'm surely not unhappy. I have found peace.
