          Vanishing Fools

who …

distills the transient essence
in each blossom of Spring

who queries the wisdom
of every passing Summer cloud

who dances with the spirit-winds
through a flaming Autumn forest

who revels in the star-tipped
immensity of a frosty Winter night ...

the poet, the dreamer, the lover,
    the vanishing fool
