In times past when women were seduced,
And discovers too late men deceive,
What can she do, become a recluse?
Bury her head and forever grieve?

She must hold her guilt close to her heart,
And conceal her shame she needs to block.
Too embarrassed to make a new start,
Goes to the river pockets full of rocks.

If the same thing happened in these days,
The young lady wouldn’t run and hide.
She’d have made a video to play
And shown it on youtube with pride

The video went viral, for real,
Suddenly she is the new pop star,
Hollywood wants her to de a deal,
Now she is worth millions, how bizarre.

Ain't that the truth! Or she watches the money roll in. There is no shame in shame any more.

You mean women really want loyalty and sincerity, Jer?  If I made a video of every time that combination got me nothing but cheated on in return I'd be a Youtube laughing stock.  Times really have changed my friend... of couse I've witnessed first hand that the further east you go, the more sincere women seem to be in general.  California women just don't seem to have those qualities anymore.

You can't have one without the other. It's the viewers and subsequent supporters of those You Tubers that make it a hit.

I had a whole shoebox of 8-pagers as a kid.

Michael, for the most part I think women and men have abandoned the love eternally concept.

Yep, Jack, we called them 8-page Bibles back then.

Oh, I don't know...
It seems to me that Youtube can lead one sooner to politics than to Hollywood )
But maybe I'm ignorant.
Well written, Jerry!

Why would you say you were ignorant? The poem was merely about how times have changed concerning morals, that is all.
