   The Promise of Your Love

Beneath a boundless roiling sky
along the eternal rolling sea
in the frigid grip of deepest
Winter and the company of
the most profound of
elementals and whispering
shades of all the lost who
have walked this way before,
I long for the wind-still,
   rose colored dawn
of a gentle Spring morning,
the soft Summer moonlight,
and the comforting touch of
your hand, heart, and spirit
with the infinite promise of
   your love.

Yes indeed. The promise of spring and the promise of love. The two go together like peanut butter and jelly.

Very pleasant those two, peanut butter and jelly. I haven't had one since I was knee high to Mom's Speed Queen.

Talk about rolling skies and rolling seas! The rollers on that old 'Queen tried to eat my fingers on more than one occasion. I don't think it would have stopped there either if it weren't for Mom hitting the reverse lever!

It did take her a few moments though. She appeared to be thinking about something.

Perish the thought!

Touch, but don't look
