Hysterical Margaret
She was like no other
Hanging around the roadsides

Hysterical Margaret
Always something interesting for folks
If only they'd stop long enough to listen

She knew it all
From Fairbanks to Miami
Bangor to LA
Hysterical Margaret always
Had something to say

"Someone made famous in the Indian wars!"
"The site of the very first watershed!"
"Frank Lloyd Wright slept here!", she'd boast!

Hysterical Margaret', America's toast!

So much time has now changed her look
Why, even her name has been altered
Today our gal, Hysterical Margaret
Is emblazoned 'Historical Marker!'

(...go easy on me. They said the beers were non-alcoholic.)
