HERE I’ll PLAINLY SAY

I have a story I’d like to tell
Within me it’s ringing like a bell
It’s about a new friend whom I’ve found
This new friend is from above the cloud
In appearance, He is perfectly pure
And then I know for sure
Who this friend is, He is Jesus
Now, it’s farewell going to Hell
I will never go there to dwell
To everyone I must tell
For this story, I need to sell
It’s a way to tell of Jesus
How His death caused chaos
But, He died to saved us
He went upon Calvary’s Cross
Where sin was totally tossed
Way back there in the past
Where Jesus paid the cost
No more will my story ring
Here, within me like a bell
Leaning on Jesus, all is well
With Him, none will go to Hell
See this story as your shield
He is a guide in every field
He is the saviour of your life
He will save you out of strife
Then clearly and plainly, I’ll say
My new friend, name is Jesus.
