Alarm clock rings
Headache stings.

Showers cold
Soul is sold.

Goes to work,
Eats pork.

Drinks beer
At the pier,

Shambles home,
All alone.

Passes by,
Her window high.

On the couch,
A broken man,

Tears appear,
He can not steer

He drifts to sleep,
Nightmares creep.

While Paul his friend reports the news.

Richard

Been there. Done that. Except I didn't have Paul and friend chatting on the tube.
